BCI detectives served Charlie O. Carter, 25 of Leonardtown, with a criminal summons charging him with two counts of Burglary and two counts of Theft Over $500 on March 7.
The charges were a result of a BCI investigation into the Jan. 8 theft of copper wire from a storage area belonging to Bowes and Sons Construction in Callaway and the Jan. 9 theft of batteries and truck wheels from a storage shed belonging to Redman Construction in Leonardtown.
St. Mary’s BCI detectives arrested Matthew Scott Wentz, 21 of Lexington Park, on March 10, and charged him with four counts of Burglary, three counts of Theft and three counts of Malicious Property Destruction.
The charges were a result of investigations into the Feb. 13 burglary and theft from the Great Mills High School Band Boosters Building, the Feb. 13 burglary and property destruction at the Great Mills Pool Building, and the Feb. 15 and 16 burglaries and thefts at the Gateway Condominiums in Lexington Park
Wentz was incarcerated at the St. Mary’s county detention Center.
