BCI Vice Narcotics Detectives have completed an investigation which included multiple cocaine purchases from a Coltonโ€™s Point home in Avenue.ย  The residence has consistently been known as a drug location and the scene of other Search Warrants over the years.

Vice Narcotics Detectives, assisted by the Sheriffโ€™s Office Emergency Services Team and the St. Maryโ€™s County Animal Control, executed a Search and Search warrant on a residence located in the 20000 block of Coltonโ€™s Point Road.

As the warrant was being executed Suspect Kerwin DeAndre Ware, 33 of Avenue, exited a second floor bedroom onto the roof and attempted to flee. Once observing the Undercover Detectives on the perimeter location, he reentered the home and was apprehended by EST members. More than 8 grams (17 baggies) of โ€œCrack Cocaineโ€ were recovered from Wareโ€™s mouth.

Edrick โ€œRickyโ€ Maury Young, 40 of Avenue, was arrested on the scene after being indicted by Vice Narcotics Detectives. The charges stem from for his role in continuously conspiring to distribute cocaine. There was additional felony charges included in the indictment.ย ย 

Keedra Shontise, 26 of Abell, was arrested for Possession of Cocaine and a related smoking device.

Timothy A. Young (Age 47 of Avenue) was arrested on an open arrest warrant through the Maryland State Police.

Detectives are reviewing the facts surrounding this case and expect additional charges and enforcement actions after a Stateโ€™s Attorneyโ€™s Office review.
