On April 1, at 3:14 a.m., TFC J. A. Pilkerton assisted a female complainant, 34 of Mechanicsville, at the Leonardtown Barrack.
The complainant advised she was assaulted in the 25000 block of Long Woods Lane in Mechanicsville. Upon completing the interview with the complainant, several events transpired at the Leonardtown Barrack, subsequently leading to a traffic stop with the assault suspect on MD Route 5, North of MD Route 243.
John Irvin Eberwein, 39 of Mechanicsville, was arrested and charged with Second-Degree Assault. Eberwein was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he is being held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
