On December 24, Dfc. K. Meyer initiated a traffic stop on a 2004 Ford Focus for failure to drive right of center.
Ashley Nicole Thomas, 22 of no fixed address, was identified as the driver. A computer check of Thomas revealed an open arrest warrant in Calvert County for her. Thomas was arrested on the warrant. Search incident to arrest revealed a glass smoking device containing suspected crack cocaine on her person.
Thomas was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance – crack cocaine and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia. Search of the vehicle incident to arrest revealed a 30 mg capsule of Adderall, a schedule II controlled dangerous substance, in the front passenger side door.
The passenger Michael Lee Shaffier, 30 of Leonardtown, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance – Adderall.
