Accident involving School Bus*
Update At 5:39 p.m. a press release from Charles County Sheriff’s Office reported the following details:
ACCIDENT INVOLVING SCHOOL BUS ON BRYANTOWN ROAD
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Operations Unit is investigating an accident on Bryantown Road involving a school bus and a passenger car. Preliminary information is that a call came in at approximately 3:24 p.m. about a bus overturned.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. There were five minor injuries. There were three occupants on the bus, including the driver, an attendant, and one student, and two occupants in the passenger car.
UPDATE – 5:23 p.m. Bryantown Road is currently reopen. Proceed with caution in this area.

Bryantown, MD— At approximately 4 p.m., a motor vehicle accident involving a school bus was reported on Bryantown Road and between Leonardtown Road.
Currently, Hunter Hill Road is closed due to this accident. Injuries have been reported as a result of this motor vehicle accident.
Numerous ambulances have been requested by units responding to the accident.
Please avoid the area.
