DAMERON, Md. — Earlier this evening, first responders were called to the scene of a motor vehicle crash that may have one man now facing charges.
At approximately 9:45 p.m. on September 27, police, fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene in the 18000 block of Three Notch Road for reports that a vehicle had gone off the road.
Upon arrival, crews located the single vehicle in a ditch and made contact with the male driver who appeared to be injured but also potentially intoxicated. Police interviewed the suspect for potential impairment at the scene.
EMS would soon after make the determination to transport the driver to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital to further treat his injuries.
Witnesses on the scene reported that he was visibly struggling to remain standing while being interviewed by police. While he was transported to the hospital, it can be noted that the ambulance was followed by police en route to the hospital.
It is unclear if any charges are being filed following the incident.
