NANJEMOY, Md. — Firefighters pulled a white Toyota Venza from Nanjemoy Creek on Tuesday afternoon after crews found the vehicle unoccupied.

Emergency personnel were dispatched just after 3:00 p.m., Nov. 25, 2025, to the end of Walter’s Landing Road for a report of a vehicle in the water. Crews arrived to find the Venza about 50 feet from the shoreline.

Firefighters conducted a primary search of the vehicle from the water, while members of the Charles County Dive Team searched the surrounding area.

Using a winch, firefighters brought the vehicle back to shore, where a secondary search confirmed that no one was inside. Chief 4 held command of the incident.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate.

Updates will be provided as they become available.
