WALDORF, Md. — Fire crews responded to a second house fire in just 18 hours after battling a garage fire on Sheffield Circle. This time, at a residence on Bel Aire Court.
Company 3 had responded to a house fire in the 4700 block of Sheffield Circle on October 16, 2025, where Engine 32 found fire showing from the garage and extinguished the blaze. The fire was held to the garage in that incident.
Less than a day later, Company 3 was dispatched first due to the 11200 block of Bel Aire Court in Waldorf for another reported house fire. Engine 32, Squad 3 and Chief 3 responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found smoke showing from the home. Fire personnel located an active fire on the second floor of the structure. Engine 32 crews extinguished the fire. Chief 3 held incident command throughout the operation.
No information about injuries or the extent of damage was immediately available. The cause of either fire remains under investigation.
All units operated under Chief 3’s command during the Bel Aire Court incident.
