UPDATE – 1/23/2025 – Waldorf Man Arrested After Stabbing Victim Multiple Times During Afternoon Fight

WALDORF, Md. — A 52-year-old man was stabbed in the head Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 22, 2025, while trying to separate a fight between family members inside a Waldorf home.

First responders were dispatched just after 2 p.m. to the 5300 block of Burreed Court for a reported stabbing.

Medics and firefighters were initially ordered to stage on Truman Manor Drive while law enforcement secured the scene. A short time later, units reported the victim was in the living room and EMS could enter.

The victim suffered from a stab wound between the eyes and lacerations to his hands. He was described as conscious, alert and breathing as crews applied pressure to the wound.

Crews requested a medevac, and firefighters established a nearby landing zone. Maryland State Police Trooper 7 arrived and flew the patient to an area trauma center.

Deputies later located and detained a suspect at the residence. Authorities did not immediately release the suspect’s name.

The investigation by Charles County authorities is ongoing.
