
UPDATE -11/15/2024 – Annapolis Community Rallies To Support Family Of Mother Killed In Tragic Accident
ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A 32-year-old Annapolis woman died following injuries sustained in a golf cart incident on Maid Marion Hill, Anne Arundel County authorities confirmed Wednesday.
Mary Blasetti was critically injured on November 9, 2024, when an E-Z-GO golf cart in which she was a passenger was involved in an accident. Anne Arundel County Police were called to the 600 block of Maid Marion Hill at approximately 7:24 p.m. in response to a request from the county’s Fire Department, which was attending to Blasetti’s injuries.
Blasetti was airlifted to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. She succumbed to her injuries two days later, on November 11, officials said.
Police have confirmed that the golf cart was driven by a 32-year-old woman from Crownsville, Maryland, who was not publicly identified. It remains unclear what led to the collision.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Traffic Safety Section is conducting an active investigation into the incident.

Mary Beth did not live in the “exclusive “ community where the accident happened. She was not the driver. The accident occurred after 7:30 PM. Dark in MD at that time. With her death, her husband and child lost half of their income. Even with a Go Fund Me and life insurance, that only goes so for so many years. Forget the mortgage and monthly expenses. People wanted to help and Go Fund Me was a way that they could. No matter what caused the accident, a life was lost.
