Blasetti family

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Annapolis community is rallying around the family of Mary Beth Blasetti, a beloved wife and new mother who died following a tragic golf cart accident earlier this month. A GoFundMe campaign created to support Blasetti’s husband, Nick, and their two-month-old daughter, Mary Katharine, has raised over $300,000 at the time of publication.

Mary Beth Blasetti, 32, was critically injured in a golf cart accident on Nov. 9 and, despite emergency medical efforts, passed away two days later. The heartbreaking loss has left friends, family, and the local community in mourning.

According to the campaign, Mary and Nick recently moved into their first home in Annapolis and had just welcomed their daughter in September. The GoFundMe page, created to help ease the family’s financial burdens, describes Mary as a person who “brought joy to so many” and as a devoted wife, mother, and friend whose warmth touched countless lives.

“Nick and Mary Katharine will have plenty to navigate over the coming months, so we’d like to soften that burden by helping them financially,” reads the campaign statement. “Any contribution will be greatly appreciated.”

Community members and friends have flocked to the fundraiser, leaving heartfelt messages of support and sharing stories of the impact Mary had on those around her. The overwhelming response reflects the deep loss felt by many in Annapolis and beyond.

Anne Arundel County Police are investigating the accident, though no further details have been released. In the meantime, the GoFundMe page continues to receive an outpouring of donations to assist the grieving family during this difficult time.
