

CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. – Emergency crews responded to a structural collapse in Chesapeake Beach on Sunday evening, February 16, 2025, after a tree fell onto a house, striking the resident inside.
The incident occurred at an address on Dakota Avenue, where first responders were dispatched around 5:30 PM following reports that a tree had crashed through a home and hit a woman on the head, leaving her trapped inside.
Dispatch logs indicate that the caller was inside the home at the time of the collapse and sustained injuries. Emergency personnel from responded to the scene and began efforts to free the trapped individual and provide medical assistance.
The extent of the woman’s injuries remains unknown. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
