40 Year Old Guest Had 10 Pouches of Coke

At 12:56 am on Monday, April 3, TFC P. Trossbach and DFC R. Wood, of St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Department, responded to an apartment in the 28000 block of Three Notch Road, Mechanicsville, for a reported CDS violation.

The homeowner was contacted and advised of the reason for police response. The owner consented to a search of the residence.

When a guest, John Patrick Kravats, 40, of Mechanicsville, was advised of the search, he retrieved ten individually folded papers containing powder cocaine.

The residence was searched and no additional contraband was recovered.

Mr. Kravats was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
