Detectives from the Bureau of Criminal Investigations were contacted in regards to a sexual offense that occurred at a Lexington Park residence.
Investigation revealed that the Vernon J. Gifford, 60 of Lexington Park, had sexual contact with a 7-year-old girl, police report.
Gifford was arrested and charged with third and fourth degree sexual offense and second degree assault.
