
VALLEY LEE, Md. — A man was airlifted to a Baltimore hospital Tuesday morning after suffering accidental gunshot wounds at a private firing range in Valley Lee.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 8:35 a.m., Dec. 9, 2025 to Joeys Way, where they found a 65-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his foot and a graze injury to his calf.
EMS personnel applied a tourniquet and requested a medical evacuation. Firefighters established a landing zone nearby for the Maryland State Police Trooper 7 helicopter.
The patient was flown to the UM Capital Region Medical Center for treatment.
