MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – A teenage motorcyclist was injured Sunday afternoon, in a crash with a motor vehicle on Three Notch Road near Cedar Grove Street in Mechanicsville.
Emergency crews were dispatched at 3:24 p.m. on April 19, responding to an 18-year-old male who was struck by a motor vehicle. Maryland State Police also responded to the incident.
First responders located the patients and began treatment, a detective from Charles County who was on scene requested a medical helicopter transport. Authorities established a landing zone at the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department. The motorist signed a refusal for treatment, and the injured teenager was flown to a shock trauma center for femur injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
