The Tri-County Animal Shelter went live today with new technology to help place as many cats and kittens into new homes.ย  Starting Wednesday, May 11, anyone with an internet connection can view our available cats and kittens from anywhere they are!ย

Utilizing a live camera feed at the shelter, users can simply click to view many of our adoptable cats and kittens interacting together in the Shelterโ€™s new Colony Cat Room.ย  This way they can observe the animalโ€™s personalities and find the perfect companion from the comfort of home.ย  The website also provides our hours of operation and contact information for those who want to come meet the animals in person or to follow up on one seen via the camera connection.

To access the live streaming Cat Room camera, go to the County’s Animal Control website http://www.charlescounty.org/es/animalcontrol/ and hover your mouse over the Animal Shelter tab, and then click on the โ€œCat Cam (LIVE Stream)โ€ tab to enter the Cat Room.ย  From here you can watch the cats and kittens in actionโ€”LIVE!ย ย  The Tri-County Animal Shelter staff is really excited about this newest tool, and hope it will help them to adopt out more cats and kittens!

Remember the shelter also has many dogs looking for forever homes too!ย  Adoption hours are Monday through Friday, 12 p.m.โ€“ 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. โ€“ 3 p.m. To view animals available for adoption, visit www.CharlesCounty.org/ES/Animal Control or www.PetFinder.com/shelters/MD112.html to find your new best friend.
