California,MD – March 3rd at 1:30 PM., U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.) will take his “LISTEN in MD” tour, designed to ensure that Marylanders throughout the state have regular opportunities to discuss key issues directly with the senator, to Southern Maryland, where he will join local small business owners and elected officials to discuss ways to grow the economy and make good on the American dream.
“Some might not realize that Southern Maryland is becoming one of the fastest-growing economic drivers in the state. I’ll continue working to ensure that the region has every possible resource to continue its expansion, and that begins with finding ways to support the continued growth of local small businesses,” said Senator Cardin, a senior member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. “We also must find ways to advance new measures to continue strengthening Southern Maryland’s infrastructure, educational opportunities, and markets for home-grown agricultural products, both domestically and abroad. With this in mind, I look forward to hearing more ideas from local residents about how we can build a stronger Maryland.”
