LA PLATA, Md. — Charles County residents will soon have the option to receive alcohol deliveries from local retailer Liquor Outlet Waldorf LLC following a recent decision by the county’s liquor board.
At its latest meeting on Thursday, March 13, 2025, the Charles County Liquor Board approved the application for retail alcohol delivery, granting Liquor Outlet Waldorf LLC, located at 10573 Theodore Green Blvd., White Plains, conditional approval to commence deliveries upon completion of its license application. The establishment will operate deliveries from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. within a three- to five-mile radius. The approval passed with a 4-1 vote, with Chairwoman Kathleen Quade opposing.
The board will evaluate the program’s effectiveness and adherence to the new regulations in the coming months. Liquor Outlet will provide paperwork detailing all deliveries, including successful and refused transactions, to the Charles County Liquor Board’s monthly meetings. These meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. Attendance is mandatory beginning in May, and failure to attend could result in the revocation of delivery privileges.

Changes to the county’s liquor regulations were approved in November 2024, clearing the way for retail alcohol delivery. According to Rule 7.105, deliveries must be made by the license holder or their employees and cannot be outsourced to third-party services such as DoorDash or Uber Eats. Additionally, deliveries must be sealed, require valid government-issued ID verification, and cannot be made to another licensed establishment. Alcohol deliveries will not be permitted past 11 p.m.
The approval of alcohol delivery marks a significant development for local businesses, expanding sales opportunities while offering a convenient option for consumers.

sorry, I’m sticking with coffee. Its far more loyal than alcohol.
its worthy of discussion that if someones thirsty + they’ve only got 1.50, they may be able to buy beer easier than something else. You can’t expect someone to choose soda\ juice\ coffee if alcohol’s cheaper.
