At 1:39 a.m., Nov. 21,a vehicle traveling southbound on U.S. Rt. 301, north of St. Patrick’s Drive, was stopped for speeding.
The driver, Jason Alex Gargac, 28, of La Plata, was then arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
A search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gargac was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review. TFC R. Lemerise conducted this investigation.
