On Monday, November 07, 2011 at approximately 12:30 am, there was a reported working house fire with individuals trapped inside at 45 Wilson Court.  As fire apparatus approached the scene they could see the fire.  They made attached on inside to control and look for individuals.  Shortly after that it was reported that individuals in the house were out by the police.

TChief Officer in command (Deputy Chief Delehanty)  sounded the evacuation of the building as the fire was out of control. As soon as it was safe enough to attempt the control of the fire, the firefighters went back inside to extinguish the fire.

Companies from Prince Frederick (Co #2), Huntingtown (Co. #6), St. Leonard (Co #7), Benedict (Co. #5) and Hughesville (Co. #2) were all on the call.  Ambulance units from Prince Frederick, Huntingtown and St. Leonard and the Paramedic unit were on the scene. The Red Cross, Fire Marshall and SMECO were requested as well. There were other fire units that handled filling in at other stations that were involved in the fire at the scene.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.  The police and Fire Marshall will be handling those details.
