Here is a statement released by Dan Bongino, candidate for Maryland’s Sixth Congressional District, expressing his remembrances for 9/11. In light of the tragic events which took place at the D.C. Navy Yard on Monday, September 16, his words resound even more poignantly this week…
“On this day, we mark the twelfth anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks that claimed thousands of lives and changed our country forever. Even though terrorists tore down our buildings, they never diminished the strength of our ideals and the resiliency of our spirit. As we proceed in our private lives today, let us remember all the lives that were lost and the enormous sacrifice of the brave and selfless first responders who rushed into harm’s way to rescue their fellow citizens. Let us also remember to thank our heroic men and women in the military, law enforcement and intelligence community in the United States and around the world who continue to work tirelessly to ensure that such acts of evil don’t happen on our homeland again.”
