ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today signed an additional 105 bipartisan bills into law, including measures to prevent opioid overdoses statewide, direct more funding to local governments for infrastructure improvements, and additional steps to divest from Russia and express solidarity with Ukraine.

“Today, we are signing another 105 bipartisan bills into law, including measures that keep important promises we have made—from tackling the opioid epidemic to restoring hundreds of millions of dollars in critical funding for local infrastructure improvements,” said Governor Hogan.

“I want to thank legislative leaders and the members of the General Assembly for working with us on these initiatives to keep changing Maryland for the better.”

The governor was joined for today’s signing ceremony by House Speaker Adrienne A. Jones and Senate President Bill Ferguson.

In his opening comments, the governor highlighted the following measures:

The Statewide Targeted Overdose Prevention (STOP) Act, to increase access to Naloxone, which helps save lives and reverses the effects of an opioid overdose.

-Legislation to dramatically increase critical infrastructure funding for local governments to advance priority projects and improvements.

Cybersecurity legislation to further solidify Maryland’s standing as the cyber capital of America, and protect Marylanders against cyberattacks.

-Legislation codifying the governor’s directive to the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System to divest from Russia, and a joint resolution expressing solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

  1. 105 more (BYE BYE-partisan) bills into law after he’s signed a zillion others in his past 8 years??? Looks like he’s working to mostly protect the powder sniffing Biden/Hunter voters. I can only imagine how badly Conservative Marylanders are really getting it before he leaves. Looking at some of these bills I see a serious left leaning slant. He hates Trump but he only dislikes Biden a bit…
I doubt that Marylanders will ever get a real Conservative governor but, if they do, it won’t in my lifetime.

  2. Hogan has been a great governor. I am hoping he will run for president. This country needs a common-sense person who knows how to run the country. Good job Governor! Maryland has never been in better hands.

    1. Hogan has been a very good governor overall. The anti-American Trumpers can’t stand Hogan because Hogan actually has principles and understands that to get things done, you actually have to work together.

  3. Yahoo, more laws!
Even a law that has “measures to prevent opioid overdoses statewide”. That should really deter overdoses, because ‘the law’ says so. And everybody knows, if it isn’t legal the Demwits won’t do it.
    Ha! Ha! Ha!
