Charles County officers initiated a traffic stop on October 3rd at 10:22 p.m. near the intersection of Crain Highway and Sub Station Road after a computer check showed the tags on the car were suspended.

Upon approaching the vehicle, Officer J. Pogar detected a strong odor of marijuana. After further investigation, officers found a digital scale, approximately 200 unused small plastic bags, one box of clear sandwich bags, multiple twisted bags with the corners missing, two jars containing marijuana residue, and three operating cell phones.

The driver was also in possession of nine bags of marijuana. Antonio Lorenzo Belton, Jr., 25, of Fort Washington was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of drug production equipment.
