LEONARDTOWN, Md. — The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is in Leonardtown now and will remain on site through 2 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 24, at the newly opened Weis Markets, 40845 Merchants Lane. The 27-foot-long hot dog on wheels is parked in front of the store and available for photos and meet-and-greets.
Oscar Mayer operates six Wienermobiles that tour the country year-round. Fans can track upcoming stops using the interactive map.
Weis Markets held a ribbon-cutting on Oct. 15 and opened to the public on Oct. 16. The 43,000-square-foot store is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., offers delivery, pickup and click-and-collect services, and is expected to employ more than 125 associates.
The Leonardtown Weis follows the company’s August opening in Charlotte Hall and is the grocer’s 52nd Maryland location.
