On December 11, 2011, deputies responded to a residence on

Sugar Maple Court

for a report of an assault with a firearm.  Prior to police units arriving, a lookout was broadcast for the suspect and vehicle and that he fled the scene.  Police units located the subject a short time later and identified him as Jeremy Jerrelle Taylor, 25, of Lexington Park, Maryland.  Investigation revealed Taylor went to the victim’s residence and became involved in an argument.  The argument escalated when Taylor punched the victim in the shoulder.  Taylor then assaulted a second victim at the residence by grabbing and choking the victim.  As Taylor was fleeing the residence, he brandished a handgun and pointed it at both victims.  Taylor entered his vehicle but before leaving he shot the handgun in the direction of the victims.  Police units located Taylor a short time later.  Taylor was arrested and charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Carrying a Handgun and Transporting a Handgun.
