LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — St. Mary’s County Recreation and Parks has announced the date for this year’s Turkey Trot, a 5K event at Lexington Manor Passive Park on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 9 a.m. Proceeds will go toward the youth scholarship fund.

For St. Mary’s County residents, registration is $40 for ages 12 and up, $25 for ages 5–12, and is free for kids 5 and under. Interested participants can register online using the Recreation and Parks portal.

There is no rain location, and refunds will only be issued in the event of cancellation due to inclement weather. All registrants will receive a T-shirt, and finishers will receive a finisher’s medal.

This inclusive 5K takes place on a paved path, so anyone can join and go at their own pace. The paved route is stroller-friendly and accessible, so this Turkey Trot is a great option for families who want to participate together.

Lexington Manor Park is an 80-acre park established in 2021. The park is pet-friendly and has exercise stations, community gardens, green space, public art displays, a disc golf course, pavilions, and walking, jogging and cycling paths.

For questions about the Turkey Trot or registration, contact R&P at RPinfo@stmaryscountymd.gov or call 301-475-4200, ext. 1800.
