CALLAWAY, Md. – On September 14, 2024, at 11:05 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of Point Lookout Road and Lily Lane for a single motor vehicle accident.
Crews arrived to find the vehicle in the ditch that struck a pole and trees with one occupant injured. EMS evaluated the patient on the scene and transported them to an area trauma center by ground for further care.
Verizon was requested to replace a broken telephone pole.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
