On July 25, 2010 at a residence on Mechanicsville Road in Mechanicsville, William James Cooper, 23 of Lexington Park, was engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical when Cooper choked the victim.
Cooper was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
