MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – With the support of the Maryland National Guard, walk-up COVID-19 testing continues to be available to the community on the campus of MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital.

PCR (send-out) testing is available seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Tent 3, located in the hospital’s front parking lot. There is no charge, and appointments are not required. Results for PCR tests generally take 24 to 48 hours. Please note that rapid tests are not offered at this location.

“We are very grateful to the Maryland Department of Health and Maryland National Guard for providing this service at a time when the strain on hospitals is greater than ever,” said Stephen Michaels, MD, FACHE, chief operating officer and chief medical officer at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. “Their presence has helped alleviate volumes with patients seeking testing only in our Emergency Department, and brought staff members back into the hospital who were needed to assist elsewhere with this surge in testing demand.”
