CALIFORNIA, Md. — A single-vehicle crash into a tree prompted a large-scale emergency response in California, Md., on Sunday evening, August 17, 2025.
The incident was reported at approximately 7:50 p.m. in the 22400 block of Indian Bridge Road, near the intersection of Wallace Lane and Caseys Lane. Initial reports indicated a single vehicle had crashed into a tree with injuries, and that one person wanted to be checked out by medical personnel.
Multiple units from St. Mary’s County Fire & EMS were dispatched to the scene. However, upon arrival and evaluation, the single patient involved in the crash signed a refusal for medical transport.
