At approximately 3:10 p.m., on Tuesday Dec. 20, law enforcement and emergency personnel began responding to a motor vehicle accident involving a school bus with children aboard.
The accident took place on Point Lookout Road near Harpers Corner Road, in Mechanicsville.
3:15 p.m.: Medical units are currently responding, no word yet of injuries, the Board of Education has yet to arrive on the scene
3:20 p.m.: Reportedly no injuries to the children aboard the bus, the Board of Education has yet to arrive, but some requests to fire departments have been cancelled
3:30 p.m.: Board of Education representatives arrive on the scene to check the children on the bus
