At 10:30 p.m. Feb. 13, two Waldorf males, ages 16 and 18, were standing in the parking lot of Safeway at 10 King Street in Waldorf when two male suspects approached them.
One of the suspects brandished a handgun and the other brandished a hammer. The victims believe the suspects were going to rob them but a Charles County Sheriff’s Office patrol cruiser entered the parking lot and the suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The victims then fled home and reported the incident to police. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer K. Evans is investigating.
