HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — Huntingtown High School senior Will Buckler has capped off a dominant wrestling season by earning the title of 2025 MPSSAA State Champion at 157 pounds.
Buckler finished the year with an impressive 24-1 record, bringing his career varsity tally to 132-31. His standout season included a first-place finish in both the SMAC and 2A South Regional championships, as well as a runner-up showing at the highly competitive War on the Shore tournament.
Throughout his high school career, Buckler also earned titles in the WCAC, where he was a two-time champion, placed at the MIS state level for three consecutive years, and secured National Prep All-American honors.

Under the guidance of Coach Jacob Cramer, Buckler’s dedication and sportsmanship have made him a key figure in Huntingtown’s wrestling program. He plans to continue both his academic and athletic pursuits at Frostburg State University.
The Calvert County Board of Education formally recognized Buckler’s achievements during its April 10 meeting.
