LUSBY, Md. — A Lusby man is facing multiple misdemeanor charges following an early morning disturbance and attempted vehicle break-ins in Calvert County.
Bradley Shane Krolczyk, 52, of Lusby, was charged with two counts of rogue and vagabond, along with intoxicated endangerment, intoxicated public disturbance, disorderly conduct, and trespassing on private property stemming from an incident on Feb. 17, 2026.
Deputies with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded at approximately 5:40 a.m. to Pine Lane in Lusby for a reported burglary in progress. Emergency communications advised that residents reported a bald white male attempting to break into vehicles and a home at the address.
According to charging documents, the suspect opened a secured screen door and began banging on the front door of the residence. The homeowner confronted the individual, who then ran back to a nearby vehicle and sat in the passenger seat.
The responding deputy recognized him from a prior encounter the previous day, Feb. 16, during which he had been identified by his Maryland driver’s license. Authorities noted that the black Chevrolet sedan associated with that earlier contact was the same vehicle involved in the Feb. 17 incident.
Investigators determined that Krolczyk had been seated inside his vehicle directly in front of the residence. After repeatedly banging on the door, he allegedly attempted to enter two vehicles parked at the property: a 2010 Nissan Altima and a 2025 Buick Encore. Both vehicles were registered to residents of the Pine Lane address. Deputies indicated there was no evidence he had permission or authority to enter the home or either vehicle.
The two rogue and vagabond charges allege unlawful intent involving the residence and vehicles. Additional counts relate to alleged intoxication, disorderly behavior, and trespassing.
Krolczyk was released on his own recognizance following his arrest on Feb. 17. He is scheduled to appear for trial on March 19, 2026, in Calvert District Court.
