On May 23, Deputy Adams responded to a residence on Hill and Dale Drive in Mechanicsville, for a report of a disturbance.
Investigation revealed Nicole Ann Wood, 19 of Mechanicsville, was engaged in a verbal dispute with Jonathan Daniel Lyon, 24 of Mechanicsville. A third party attempted to intervene and stop the dispute. Wood threatened to burn down the third party’s house for intervening. Lyon became angry at Wood’s threat and pushed Wood to the ground causing abrasions to Woods back.
Lyon was arrested for second-degree assault and Wood was arrested and charged with threatening arson.
