Deputies responded to a residence in the 20000 block of Hunting Quarters Drive in Callaway, for a reported shooting.
The male victim was standing in his driveway when an unidentified male suspect approached and fired a weapon at him.
The victim was struck in the neck and abdomen. He was flown to an area hospital for treatment.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
