LEONARDTOWN, Md. — A fresh wave of local flavor is headed to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital this summer with the launch of a new community farmer’s market, offering residents a chance to support local vendors right outside the hospital’s front door.
The Market will be held once a month through September — on July 11, Aug. 8, and Sept. 5 — from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the front side parking lot adjacent to the IT building at 25500 Point Lookout Road.
The lineup includes familiar names like Payne’s Produce and Horseshoe Farm, along with offerings from Real Food Studio and the Wing Wagon from Olde Town Pub. Hospital officials say additional vendors are expected, providing a range of goods from fresh vegetables to prepared meals.
Though the market is being held on hospital grounds, it’s open to the public. Organizers encourage attendees to bring cash, as some vendors will not accept cards.
