Spectators lined the streets of Leonardtown on Sunday to catch a glimpse of the annual Veterans Day

parade, which is said to be one of the biggest in the state.
The parade itself was chocked full of local officials, marching bands, scouts, police and firefighters for an estimated 3,500 marchers.
Local officials held a veterans’ memorial ceremony on the Square, which included wreath laying and the release of peace doves. Several officials spoke, in addition to students reading essays and words from Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson, who is a former Baltimore Oriole and co-owner of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs baseball team.
