COBB ISLAND, Md. – On March 15, 2021 at approximately 6:35 a.m., Cobb Island Volunteers and surrounding departments responded to the marina behind Charlie’s Restaurant and found a 25′ boat “fully involved”.

Firefighters quickly began the extinguishment. Within minutes as additional units responding “Command” requested all remaining units to stage at Captain John’s Restaurant. Fire was out in 15 minutes, overhaul process is underway. No injuries have been reported.

A total of 45 Fire and EMS responded to the scene including mutual aide from NDW Dahlgren, St. Mary’s and King George County.

DNR and Office of the State Fire Marshal’s Office were notified.
