At 12:13 a.m. Jan. 22, , TFC J. Edelen of the LaPlata barrack, while off duty observed Amando L. Sanchez, 27, of Temple Hills, hit an unknown male in the face while standing in the lobby of the Holiday Inn, Waldorf.
The trooper attempted to arrest Sanchez but he became disorderly and resisted arrest.
Tpr. A. Kolle responded to the scene to assist with the arrest.
Sanchez was arrested and a search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia on his person. He was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
