UPDATE 2:45 pm- All roads have been re-opened
UPDATE 9:30 am- Leonardtown, MD –
Bishop Road remains closed. Crews are working and estimate these roads will reopen later today.
Leonardtown, MD – Several roadways around St. Mary’s County remain closed due to flooding. Those currently closed are:
Bishop Road
Maypole Road
Baptist Church Road
Morganza-Turner Road
Friendship School Road
Newtown Neck at Bay Breeze (Kiskadee Lane)
Friendship School Road will remain closed through at least Friday as a section of the road was washed out.
Bishop Road will also remain closed through the evening due to a large hole in the center of the roadway. Assessment of the damage won’t begin until the water has receded. County crews are on scene at both locations to monitor conditions.
