ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Authorities have identified two victims who died in a fatal townhome fire in Anne Arundel County last week.
Paul D. Tisdale, 84, and Pamala S. Fox, 70, both succumbed to injuries sustained in a blaze that tore through their residence on the 900 block of Riversedge Circle on the night of Feb. 20, 2025.
Firefighters responded to the scene at approximately 9:48 p.m., finding a middle-unit townhome engulfed in flames. Crews launched an immediate attack on the fire while conducting a search for occupants. Both victims were located inside the home, and one was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials later confirmed that both residents had died.
The Anne Arundel County Fire Investigation Bureau ruled the fire accidental in nature, though the exact cause remains undetermined. Investigators have not confirmed whether working smoke detectors were present in the residence. These fatalities mark the first fire-related deaths in the county this year.
The Red Cross was notified to assist displaced residents and pets from an adjoining townhome. No other injuries were reported.
