At 7 p.m. Dec. 29, Tpr. E. Evans of the Leonardtown barrack stopped a vehicle for failing to drive right of center on Route 246 and Pacific Drive in Lexington Park.
Upon contact with the driver, Edward John Washington, 21, of Lexington Park, an odor of marijuana was detected. A probable cause search was conducted and a partially burnt marijuana cigarette was found under the driver’s floor mat.
Washington was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
