LA PLATA, Md. — The Charles County Board of Commissioners has approved its 2026 legislative calendar, outlining next year’s Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) sessions, public comment opportunities, and joint town hall meetings. The calendar was adopted during the board’s regular session held on Tuesday, July 22.
The measure passed by a 3–2 vote, with Commissioners Reuben B. Collins II, Amanda M. Stewart, and Gilbert Bowling III voting in favor. Commissioners Ralph Patterson and Thomasina Coates opposed the calendar. No discussion or comments were made prior to the vote.
The 2026 calendar includes 27 scheduled Board of County Commissioners sessions, 11 public comment dates, and three joint town hall meetings. The town halls are scheduled for Districts 1, 2, and 3, with no meeting currently planned for District 4.
