LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, Md. — A man was fatally injured Tuesday, February 18, 2025, when a commercial truck struck his parked vehicle, pushing it over him in an industrial area of Anne Arundel County.

The incident occurred around noon at 961 Corporate Boulevard. According to a preliminary investigation by the Anne Arundel County Police Department, a 2019 International truck with an attached Wabash-Nation trailer was in the process of backing into a loading dock when it collided with a stationary 2017 Nissan Rogue.

The impact caused the Nissan to move backward, striking its driver, identified as 60-year-old Charles Edward Thomas III of Taneytown, who was standing behind the vehicle at the time. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the International truck, a 34-year-old man from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was not injured.

Authorities have not announced any charges as the Traffic Safety Section continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
