PASADENA, Md. — A Glen Burnie man was arrested early Sunday after a crash in Pasadena led police to discover a loaded handgun in his possession.

Officers responded around 1:50 a.m. on Dec. 7, 2025 to a collision near Fort Smallwood Road and Fernhill Road. During the investigation, police detained one of the drivers, 31-year-old Steven Collignon, after determining he was impaired behind the wheel.

According to police, Collignon was carrying a loaded .45-caliber Kahr handgun and is legally prohibited from possessing firearms. Collignon was taken into custody and faces multiple misdemeanor charges, including illegal firearm possession, carrying a loaded handgun on his person and in a vehicle, illegal possession of ammunition, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In addition to the criminal charges, Collignon received several traffic citations, including driving or attempting to drive a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

He was booked at the Anne Arundel County Police Eastern District by Officer Clough and held without bond following a bail review hearing Monday afternoon in Glen Burnie.

Collignon’s charges stem from the Dec. 7 incident, and a court appearance has been scheduled in Anne Arundel County District Court.
